Over My Head In You
By R.Duncan Heinly

So many on the water’s shore hear the waves calling to come
Most are content to get their feet wet
In the shallows is where they run
But You call me out even deeper to the bottomless depths of Your Love
Once I have passed through the crimson tide,
The shallows are never enough

I am over my head in You
You passion envelopes my heart and my soul
Over my head in You, I surrender my will to Your merciful hold
The old man has drowned in the deep
The new made alive in this life giving Sea
Unburdened, my heart is now free. I am over my head in You

Discerning the current’s flow, Following the waters course
My heart earnestly longing to go Upwards to the river’s source
Though obstacles come Pressures build to keep me back
I press on to that goal And I will not get off track ‘till

I am over my head in You
You passion envelopes my heart and my soul
Over my head in You, I surrender my will to Your merciful hold
The old man has drowned in the deep
The new made alive in this life giving Sea
Unburdened, my heart is now free. I am over my head in You

When God Comes In Revival By Charles G. Finney

A revival breaks the power of the world and of sin over Christians. It brings them to such vantage ground that they get a fresh impulse toward heaven. They have a new foretaste of heaven and new desires after union with God; and the charm of the world is broken, and the power of sin overcome.
When the churches are thus awakened and reformed, the reformation and salvation of sinners will follow, going through the same stages of conviction, repentance, and reformation. Their hearts will be broken down and changed. Very often the most abandoned profligates are among the subjects. Harlots and drunkards and infidels and all sorts of abandoned characters are awakened and converted. The worst among human beings are softened, and reclaimed, and made to appear as lovely specimens of the beauty of holiness.
"O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known, in wrath remember mercy" ( Hab. 3:2).
